Russell Gerlach was born in 1948, in Haworth, NJ and majored in Fine Art at Syracuse University, class of '66. After leaving Syracuse, Gerlach opened the Krupp Gerlach Gallery in Edgewater, NJ, where his work was displayed.
In 1978, Gerlach moved to the West Village in NYC and opened Modern Frames, Inc. and later Gerlach Frames, Inc. which he continues to manage today. Among his clients are The Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim Museum, and numerous private art advisors for major corporations and art collectors.
Gerlach's artwork has been exhibited in numerous gallery exhibitions along the East Coast and is a part of the permanent collections of The Nassau County Museum of Art and the Naples Museum, as well as many private collections throughout the U.S.
