George Luks

George Luks was a 19th Century American visual artist who was born in 1867. George Luks has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Whitney Museum of American Art and at the The Huntington Library, Art Collections & Botanical Gardens. Many works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'LILY WILLIAMS' sold at Sotheby's New York 'American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture ' in 2010 for $1,874,500. There have been numerous articles about George Luks, including 'Childhood, Then and Now' written by BENJAMIN GENOCCHIO for New York Times in 2010. The artist died in 1933.
